Hi everyone, and welcome! I'm Jen from Starchelle Communications, here to help UK coaches and course creators simplify their social media marketing. Today, we’re exploring one of the most exciting—and sometimes overwhelming—aspects of social media: content creation.
Whether you're staring at a blank screen or have too many ideas to organise, I’m sharing tips and tools to make content creation easier, more effective, and yes, even fun!
Know Your Audience
The first step to creating great content is understanding your audience. Think about their challenges, what inspires them, and how your content can add value to their lives.
For example:
If you’re a business coach, your audience might appreciate productivity hacks or tips for scaling a business.
If you create online courses, they might want behind-the-scenes insights or success stories from students.
Use polls, comments, and direct messages to learn what your audience wants to see. The better you know them, the more targeted and engaging your content will be.
Create Content Pillars
Content pillars are themes that guide your posts, keeping them consistent and relevant. Aim for 3 to 5 pillars that align with your business goals and audience interests. Here are some examples:
🔹 Educational – Tips, tutorials, industry insights
🔹 Inspirational – Quotes, personal stories, client wins
🔹 Promotional – Highlighting your services, product launches
🔹 Engaging – Asking questions, polls, sharing fun facts
By focusing on these pillars, your content stays varied and valuable.
Batch Create Your Content
One of the best ways to stay consistent without feeling overwhelmed is to batch create your content. Set aside a specific time each week or month to plan, write, and design your posts in bulk. Here’s how:
✅ Use a content calendar to outline posts for the week or month
✅ Write and design multiple posts at once (e.g., create several Instagram graphics in Canva)
✅ Plan ahead for key dates (e.g., start promoting a Christmas product in September)
This approach keeps you organised and ensures you’re always one step ahead.
Use Time-Saving Tools
There are some fantastic tools available to simplify the content creation process:
🎨 Canva – Create stunning visuals with easy-to-edit templates
These tools help you stay efficient, even if you’re short on time!
Repurpose Your Content
One post doesn’t have to stop at one platform! Repurposing content maximises its reach and saves time. For example:
▶️ Turn a YouTube video into a blog post
📌 Convert a blog into Instagram carousels
📹 Chop up YouTube videos for TikTok or Instagram Reels
💬 Share key takeaways from a blog on LinkedIn
With a little creativity, one piece of content can fuel multiple platforms.
